Pay It Forward For Pets - Brutus

Life can be difficult and very unfair for domestic animals. The shelter offers no life for orphaned pets. Dogs residing in a shelter are there through no fault of their own. At some point, they once knew the comforts of a home and the familiarity of an owner.

Brutus, our purebred, tri-colored Beagle has quite the story. This 20-pound gentle soul was dropped over a high fence and left overnight to be discovered in the morning at an animal control facility. Upon examination, the tattoo found in his ear revealed more of his history. Bred for research, and never given a name, he is branded with three letters to identify and track him. At some point, Brutus was freed from medical testing and adopted by a civilian. Scanning Brutus for a microchip made known another sad twist of his fate. This special boy had been newly orphaned as the microchip was traced to his recently deceased constant companion.

We can’t allow anything else to go wrong for Brutus. We remain hopeful that someone will change this boy’s life and make everything right in his world. At nine years of age, he deserves to know love, and to be valued, for the rest of his days.

Pet ownership is a serious commitment. Dogs are feeling beings with emotions and intellect. Handled casually, they become a casualty. Might you want to share your world with Brutus? We know he’d like to share his with you.
