Babies, babies everywhere! Summit County Animal Control has seen an influx of very young dogs arriving at their facility. These "babies" are dogs that are just a few weeks old up to nine months old. Regardless of their specific age, they are all still considered puppies at different stages in their lives.

Today, we’re highlighting many of these puppies, all of whom share similar needs, whether they are just weeks old and found on the streets or nine months old and also strays. Each dog has its own history, but since they are stray animals, we don’t have any information about their development.

Bringing a puppy into your home requires a serious commitment. The first commitment is to provide them with a lifetime of love and support. The second commitment involves dedicating yourself to helping them grow into the dogs they were meant to be.

Consider whether you have the time for a puppy. Does your lifestyle accommodate a new pet? Are you prepared to provide standard veterinary care, as well as any additional medical attention that may arise unexpectedly?

Dogs are members of the family, akin to having another child in the household. Their needs remain at the level of a four-year-old child, and hopefully, we will have the joy of watching them thrive for up to 15 years.
