Meet Wayne and Willis …

There seems to be a “last call“ for some of the most precious things we experience in our lives. A last kiss, a last father-daughter dance, a last family trip and, on a less nostalgic note, a last call for that favorite beverage as the restaurant prepares to close. When we look over our lifetime, we can reflect on many “lasts.” Doing something last, or coming in last, does not have to be a negative thing. After all, experiencing something for the last time often creates some of the best memories carried with us for our lifetime.

Wayne and Willis are experiencing some “lasts.” Intentionally birthed to become trail beagles, they’ve ran their last race. Continually coming in last meant there was no longer room for them in the pack. Happily, they’ve slept their last night in a plywood box and, lastly, these sweet boys will be the last trail beagles surrendered to Pay It Forward For Pets this summer season.

Considered purebred and AKC registered, Wayne and Willis are perfect stock beagles. For them, being last will create a lot of firsts. A first home, a first bed, a first hug and feeling valued as a family member for the first time. At 10 months of age these boys have a lot of living to do. Can one, or both, do it with you?
